چکیده
In this study, we present a subannual–biannual-resolved (0.9–2 years) ASM intensity record spanning from 11.6 to 10.0 ka BP (before 1950 AD) inferred 230Th-dated travertine δ18O at Zhangjia Ravine on the eastern margin of Tibetan Plateau. The ZJG-1 sequence is characterized by high-frequency fluctuations decadal centennial scales. Fluctuating between −11.15‰ and −14.78‰ over sequence, fluctuation range gradually decreased BP. There are several abrupt changes in which indicate that early Holocene was highly unstable. Comparison with marine records suggests Preboreal oscillation (PBO) event could be triggered freshwater outburst led to/resulted sudden release thousands cubic kilometers meltwater North Atlantic Ocean. Furthermore, climate oscillations during PBO were associated complex interplay solar activity outburst, may amplify effect when it minima. rapid warming after controlled common mechanism induced Dansgaard–Oeschger events last glacial period. further pronounced increases values occurred about 10.3 BP, coinciding roughly Bond 7 event, also caused activity. This study not only important understand primary driving force Holocene, but essential for evaluate probability future.

In this paper we present results of a numerical study using the NASA finite-volume GCM to elucidate a plausible mechanism for aerosol impact on the Asian summer monsoon involving interaction with physical processes over the Tibetan Plateau (TP). During the premonsoon season of March–April, dusts from the deserts of western China, Afghanistan/Pakistan, and the Middle East are transported into an...
متن کاملOrographic Effects of the Tibetan Plateau on the East Asian Summer Monsoon: An Energetic Perspective
This paper investigates the dynamical processes throughwhich the Tibetan Plateau (TP) influences theEast Asian summer monsoon (EASM) within the framework of the moist static energy (MSE) budget, using both observations and atmospheric general circulation model (AGCM) simulations. The focus is on the most prominent feature of the EASM, the so-called meiyu–baiu (MB), which is characterized by a w...
